Main Street Grant Program
Through the Inlet and Old Forge Main Street grants program, CAP-21 has provided businesses with 50% matching funding for structural improvements to their properties.
These renovations have included implementing energy efficiency, heating systems, windows,roofing, facades, accessibility, and redesign improvements.
The intent of the Main Street program is to promote vibrant and sustainable businesses in a defined downtown area. The business districts of Old Forge and Inlet present a return to small town buy-local shopping and a refreshing change from big box and chain store marketing.
CAP-21 is currently seeking additional Main Street grant funds for the revitalization of the former Howard Johnson’s property as well as other key businesses in the Old Forge business district.
